Abstract
As one of the typical nanoenzymes, the derivative layered dihydroxides (LDHs) of two- dimensional metal hydroxides has the chemical formula of [M1-x2+Mx3+(OH)2]x+[Ax/n]n-ꞏmH2O. Because of its composition, structure and morphology with excellent interchangeable, the characteristics of acid-base, thermal stability and memory effect, which are easy to produce, low cost, long storage time and excellent environmental stability. In this review, we briefly outline the categories and application scope of LDHs at the forefront of current research, including applications in separation and adsorption, catalysis and biomedicine. In addition, we also pay attention to the potential challenges and future development direction in the field of LDHs. The increasing application of LDHs in life sciences and environmental governance has aroused great interest in research, and it is expected that LDHs will soon become a hot topic.
