Changes in humus content and composition of hydromorphic soils in irrigated agriculture in conservation of land resources

Abstract
This article reports on the findings of an analysis conducted on the chemical and physico-chemical properties, humus content, reserve, composition, and humus condition of hydromorphic soils in the pale gray soil region of Uzbekistan’s Dalvarzin desert. Through the study, a comparison of the chemical and physico-chemical properties of different types and variations of hydromorphic soils was conducted, and changes in soil properties and humus content over the past 40 years were examined to determine the impact of irrigated agriculture on these soils. The analysis revealed that changes in soil properties and humus content were dependent on the duration of use in irrigated agriculture. The study also explored differences in humus content and composition between various types of hydromorphic soils, providing insight into the unique characteristics and needs of each soil type. Overall, these findings provide important information for the efficient and sustainable use of hydromorphic soils in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
