Various models of assessment a random state are considered. The solution problem of substantiating power reserves is associated with the need to redistribute generating capacities between the EPS territorial zones. It is shown that this need leads to almost the same values of operational power reserves when using various models of assessing state. This is confirmed by experimental calculations on many models of estimated EPS schemes for various parameters.
