The Three-wheeler engine crankcase is the part which protects the inside of the engine. Every component despite appearing stationary the structure transmits and receives highly fluctuating loads at high frequency from the piston, crankshaft, various pumps and gears inside of it and its walls ribs and surfaces mate with the other parts to allow. For this functionality we focused on all the characteristics as topology load conditions etc. and then created a model in solid works software after designing the model of crankcase the analysis is performed by focusing on topology. As the main aim of this work is to optimize the weight of crankcase, required parameters are taken into consideration and the crankcase is analyzed with different types of materials in order to achieve the weight reduction. We aim to design and optimize the crankcase by reducing the overall weight offered by the component in the internal combustion engine and finally integrate the optimized parameters to the existing model of the crankcase to contribute the overall efficiency longevity and environmental impact of the internal combustion engine.
