The article reviews the possibilities of using tungsten for engine parts of agricultural machinery and the transition to electric motors. The use of electric motors for agricultural machinery and experience in the production of electric tractors is described. A description of the manufacturers of electric tractors and their advantages is given. The materials of motor parts are described, including the use of tungsten. CVD coatings are selected and described as a technology for electric motor applications. The technology of obtaining tungsten coatings on the electrodes of the engine of agricultural machinery by the method of obtaining CVD coatings is proposed. In this article, the CVD coating mode is selected and the properties of the obtained coating according to the selected mode are analysed. The advantages of the coating are identified and the future development of the technology is described.
