The geometry of the outer corner of the wall causes a decrease of temperature on the inner surface of the wall near the corner. This is especially evident in the corners of walls made of logs or timber, in which the thermal conductivity and heat absorption along the fibers is higher than across the fibers. Due to the anisotropic structure of wood, the temperature at the top of the inner surface of the outer corner is even lower than in single-layer stone walls with the same level of thermal protection. The article developed a new approach to calculating the temperature on the inner surface of the outer corner, considering the thermal conductivity of the material and its heat absorption coefficient. For wooden walls, this method considers the different heat absorption coefficients of wood both across and along the fibers. The developed method for calculating the temperature of the inner surface of the wall on the top of the corner will allow evaluating the design solutions of the outer walls and, at the design stage, adjusting the wall structure in the outer corner area in order to exclude the possibility of condensation moisture forming on its inner surface.
Key words: temperature / inner surface of the wall / outer corner / wooden house / heat absorption
