For large-scale construction projects, adopting traditional construction methods has obvious drawbacks, such as long construction cycles, difficulty in ensuring project quality, high labor costs, and poor construction site environment. In order to solve the problems of cost management in prefabricated buildings, this paper studies the characteristics of prefabricated buildings and the principles, processes, and applicability of genetic algorithms. On this basis, the specific application of genetic algorithm in the cost optimization of prefabricated buildings is analyzed, in order to effectively improve the effectiveness of construction cost management and provide reference for relevant personnel.
