To ensure the safe and efficient operation of Francis turbine units under the new situation, Wudongde Power Plant takes the No.1 unit as the research object. The variable-head stability tests and the full-flow channel numerical simulation method are applied to analyze the degree of influence on the operating conditions of Wudongde Power Plant units after the storage of water in Baihetan Reservoir. This paper scientifically divides the operating area of the units so as to guide the safe, stable, and economic operation of the turbines.
