Abstract
Road infrastructure development in East Java Province plays a crucial role in supporting regional connectivity, mobility, and economic growth. This study aims to identify, analyze, and map road infrastructure problems in East Java Province by utilizing big data sourced from Twitter. The importance of this research lies in addressing the gap between official government reports and public experience, capturing real-time, location-based complaints and sentiments from the community. This research employs a mixed-method approach: sentiment analysis is conducted using LDA techniques and the resulting sentiment scores are integrated into a Geographic Information System (GIS) for spatial visualization and hotspot analysis. The findings reveal clear spatial disparities in infrastructure quality, showing that rural areas experience more severe road-related issues compared to urban centers. These insights highlight the urgent need for smart infrastructure integration that leverages digital technologies to improve the planning, monitoring, and sustainability of road networks in East Java.
