Digital Transformation in Public Services: A Strategic Review Through Bibliometric and Systematic Literature Analysis

The purpose of this study is to examine the potential and difficulties associated with integrating digital transformation into public services, particularly in developing countries. It highlights how technologies like egovernment, artificial intelligence, and big data might improve the efficacy, transparency, and accessibility of public services through a comprehensive evaluation of academic research produced between 2014 and 2024 using a bibliometric approach. But the study also highlights significant challenges that developing nations confront, such as a lack of digital infrastructure, a digital divide, and low levels of digital literacy among the populace and government workers. This study uses bibliometric analysis to pinpoint publication patterns and major topics surfacing in the scholarly discourse on the digital transformation of the public sector. According to the findings, using digital technology can potentially increase the effectiveness of public services, but it does not always resolve all current problems. It has been discovered that developing more comprehensive and long-lasting digital strategies requires cross-sector cooperation between the public and corporate sectors as well as civil society. To sum up, the public sector's digital transformation offers significant potential to improve accessibility and efficiency, but it must be implemented with a careful, evidence-based strategy.
