The ISO 9001 standard contains requirements, the fulfillment of which can be objectively verified or evaluated. The article deals with the examples of the dominant parameter choice which determines the performance index used in the construction of innovative transport equipment for the processing industry. It is proposed to accept as the basic parameter the parameter that determines the quality indicator of the equipment as an object of standardization and does not depend on equipment technical perfection and manufacturing technology. As a result of the studies carried out by means of parametric modeling method according to the formalized conditions of the study, it was proved that, taking into account the specifics of the processing industry transport equipment, it is advisable to take power as the dominant parameter for the standard-size parameterization of processing industry innovative transport equipment.
