Abstract
A sorption-spectrophotometric method for the determination of manganese (II) ions in industrial wastewater has been developed. A corresponding immobilisation procedure is presented. For the determination of Mn(II) ions, the dependence of complex formation with an organic reagent on pH, reaction time and temperature was studied. The structure of the complex formed between Mn(II) and the immobilised cupferron reagent, as well as the mechanism of reagent immobilisation on the fibre, was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Fast and effective determination of Mn(II) ions is an important task in medicine, pharmacology, biology, chemistry and technology. Many existing methods for determining their concentrations are relatively inefficient and time-consuming. This study proposes a new, highly efficient and selective reagent system and a sorption-spectrophotometric procedure for the determination of Mn(II) ions. The current methods of determining its route are inefficient and time-consuming. This study proposes a new, highly efficient and selective reagent system and a sorption-spectrophotometric procedure for the determination of manganese(II) ions.
