Abstract
The main coal bearing strata in the Majialiang-Fangziping section of the Fugu mining areaare the Shanxi Formation of the Lower Permian and the Taiyuan Formation of the Upper Carboniferous. An analysis was conducted on the coal quality characteristics of the No.8 coal seam in the area, and it is believed that it is a strip-shaped structure, layered, layered structure, stepped, uneven, and a few angular fractures, with moderate hardness, relatively brittle properties, and developed internal and external fractures. The macroscopic coal rock types are mainly semi bright and semi dim coal, followed by dim coal, with occasional bright coal. Its coal quality is low moisture, medium to high ash, high volatile matter, medium calorific value, medium sulfur, low phosphorus, low to medium chlorine, high fluorine, and ultra-low arsenic coal. Coal is mainly composed of gas coal, which can be used for power coal, liquefaction coal, gasification coal, and coking coal blending. Considering the sustainable development of resource and environment protection, how to realize the utilization of coal cleanly and effectively, which becomes an important issue to people.
